But as someone who loves all animals, and especially animal conservation, these videos give me the chance to see and learn about snakes, so many of which need to be protected, without my phobia getting in the way.

  • Hey dingo I thought those gloves were bite proof but resistant?? Is a boomslangs fangs not big enough cause if a cobra bit u with gloves on u said it would go through I’m confused lol it’s easy to do

    Brett CoyleBrett Coyle6 kuukautta sitten
    • It's got to do with the position of their fangs. Since Boomslangs are colubrids, their fangs are far back in their mouth, making it much harder for them to get an effective angle to inject their venom, especially if they would have to bite through gloves. Vipers and elapids (like for instance cobras) on the other hand have long fangs in the front of their mouths, giving them a better angle and much more leverage to bite into and through things. Plus, Boomsnakes are fairly slender and small and will simply struggle to really munch through protective gloves.

    nikki wallacenikki wallace6 kuukautta sitten
    • Technically the gloves are bite resistant, so there is a chance, be it ever so remote, that a lucky (from the snake's point of view) one could get in, but it's a fairly remote chance, and Dingo seems to know what he's doing. Mind you, back in the day, so did Steve Irwin.
