As a nurse I’m wondering certain things. First of all, this was amazing!! I’m curious if the lioness got a shot of abx after the surgery. I’m assuming she did. What would happen if she got a post op infection??

Can I start with the flying abilities of whoever flew the helicopter!! I think I forgot to mention it after the first video because I was so overwhelmed (in a good way) with everything that happened on the video. He did a fantastic job and so did Ryan with his shots!! This girl only needed one dart........did she need any other drugs to keep her down? I think it is cool that you took the tick off her......too bad you didn’t give a close-up, I would have loved to see it. I am the type that would have tried to remove them all if I could. I am always taking ticks off of the feral cats that show up out back! Shaving and prepping the animals for surgery was our (vet techs) job, but I’m sure Ryan does it all the time in his line of work in Africa. 😄 Monitoring the animals during surgery was always very stressful for me because I did not always trust the vet I was working with, I was always worried the animal was going to die, and I lost an animal after a dental cleaning I did because for one, the animal should never have been put under anesthesia and 2 when I was having the trouble the vet had already left for lunch. 😞 What an epic video.......I can’t believe how much of a snorer she was, and that you gave her a shot Dingo! Great job everyone involved and thanks for being a part! Sorry I was a bit long winded but this video moved me! Love you guys! 😄❤️❤️🐬

Dingo thank you so much what a video ,this is conservation on the frontline what a privilege to be able to see this up close the chopper weaving about trying to get a shot as the lion shot across the road. But to see the paw against your head the claws and teeth seen close up you are amazed we know they are big but seen in real life omg. The operation carried out was fascinating to see this is what i would love to see more of i know you said you would like to do more, if possible picking out what you feel is an important cause . Again thank you Dingo and family and also the Dingo crew to be a small part of this is a great feeling

The surgery they did allows them to have offspring but on 2 not 6+ like normal cats

What a great rescuing and really speedy surgery to help this female lion, absolutely amazing! Controlling the number of lions is so important to protect them completely safely in the sanctuary. I love lions. I think if I ever went to a wildlife reserve or sanctuary in south Africa (if those reserves are in South Africa) I’d end up crying because of how beautiful the landscape is and because of how beautiful the animals are.
