  • For those with really sharp eyes... have a look for the spray of venom out of the snakes fangs just after I pull my finger away from the snake after it bites me. Correction: 6:48 meant to be two weeks not two years 🤦🏻

    • So you were fractions of seconds away from it not being a dry bite but an actual envenomation? It's still considered a dry bite, since it did eject venom, just not into you?

      gek421gek421Päivä sitten
  • I’m so glad it was a dry bite, well I mean I’m so glad the snake pulled away before envenomation.

  • If You are bitten by a highly venomous snake, You must calmly move away from the snake at a distance that it can't see you. You then must sit down as soon as possible and wrap the bite up firmly to the end of the limb or armpit with bandage or clothing if you don't have bandage. Restrict the blood flow in the limb the snake has bitten. Stay where you are and do not attempt to walk or run out of the bushland because you don't want the venom to circulate in your blood stream. Make the call to emergency services. If no connection send someone to call emergency services. You need to be carried out of the bush by emergency services. DO NOT be walking out of the bush circulating the venom around your body If you walk or run you will circulate the venom and you will die in 10minutes to 15 minutes if you are bitten by any of the top 20 venomous snakes. If you don't know what type of snake has bitten you, then you need to closely adhere to this message. Stay stil. Stay stil, stay calm and call for help, that is the only chance of survival from highly venomous snake bite.

  • Dingo that time you were handling that black mamba in the middle of the plantation was way more dangerous that this..I think even you hadn't been bitten you always need to make a risk assessment of the situation as you do, coz forest cobras and black mambas we are not allowed a 2nd chance as we know

  • OMG PROOF! Dingo evolved from frogs, not monkeys! How else can such a tall burly man of his mature age still hop and leap around like a wee youngster? Because he's part frog! The snakes told on him. That's ok. Frogs are charming enough that young girls STILL go around kissing them to try to get their prince 😊😃😁. We're so glad you're ok Dingo! That was actually very scary footage.

  • Wow, that was a close call. I was wondering if your wedding ring might have constrained the effects of the bite and prevented them from moving into your hand. When I saw the kids there though that gave me some reassurance though because I know you would have kept them well away from the "Landmine of Africa" or similar and it clearly wasn't a Gaboon Viper. Watching the kids though also gave me confidence because they would have reacted very differently if it had been a dangerous bite. But as you say, its a timely reminder of how fast things can go wrong.

  • Dude, for sure you have learned some amazing skills over the years and allowed thousands of people to see what they would never be able to witness HOWEVER I think it's time you STOPPED playing around with them for good. This video proved that you need to some day grow up and get a real job. Your definitely a skilled handler but you need to stay alive to be around for your kids. Things can and do go wrong. Your life for your kids is more important that doing what you love. You may have some crazy addiction to adrenaline that you need counseling for. Seriously just give it up already.

  • Great moral to your recent bite. We all get complacent and comfortable in our day to day actions and I must say I’m very relieved as I’m sure Christie is that this bite is the one that humbled you and had you reevaluate getting to comfortable in what your good at. Mistakes can happen at any time and sometimes we can be doing everything right but someone else around even can ruin our day really quick. Always stay on your toes and have respect for those beautiful majestic snakes that you’re honored to be an ambassador for. Thank you for the honesty that’s why I love this channel.

  • Great video. I don’t think people understand what goes through your mind when actions are set in motion that will take your life and fighting through the urge to close your eyes and give up. Controlling the panic and only focusing on the knowledge of your specific discipline, are the only things that will increase the likelyhood of surviving. I agree, dying whilst doing something you love is not the way to go. thoughts of loved ones is a strong motivator…

There is that one guy coyote who is stupid and puts his hand out in front of an alligator snapping turtle to see how bad a bite from one can be. He also grabs lots of attention when he let's hornets, millipedes, or venomous spiders sting him. It sends a terrible message. Accidents happen. Thanks for being upfront about it.
