HUGE SNAKE BITES AND CONSTRICTS OWNER - Lady gets bitten by 11 foot Reticulated Python!!!

In todays video I comment on a recent video that was posted of a lady being bitten and constricted by her 11 foot pet Reticulated Python. This video is a commentary on what went wrong and in no way a reflection on the lady's handling of the snake or the situation.

  • That snake was hungry (that's the problem). That was a clear *feeding attack,* the snake went for the item - which in this case was the woman's arm - and quickly applied constriction. The snake coming outside so fast should have been a red flag, since they do this when very hungry, waving the arm in front of the snake's face was the second mistake.

  • I have a spotted python and I’m so glad she’s harmless. She does have those tearing teeth, I got bit once and it def pulled up a bit of skin off the top(stupid mistake on my part during feeding time), but I can unwind her and take her mouth off of me easily. She’s the perfect size and very sweet.

  • I'm not going to scroll through 1.2k comments to see if this was covered, but her FIRST mistake was having her snakes and rats in the same room. (Look in the back right corner. You will see rats in enclosures.)

  • Kevin from nerd also made a video about this bite video. The snake is definitely in food mode, probably because of the rodents who are in the back of the room in racks. When I see a snake come to me like that I wouldn’t try to take it out. I would make clear to the snake that I’m not food with a snake hook. But that video is good for learning.

But now she is always in defensive mode, it's gotten to the point where the only way to get her out is with a snake hook.use to be able to get her out all the time.the sec you go near her cage she goes in strike mode.

  • i had to find a new home for my red tail boa once she hit 8’, went to give her a shower one day and she managed to grab the frame from the glass shower doors, it was a battle to get her off, once i got her off she wrapped around my arms but my arms were above my head, i was tied up too tight to get out so i just held her up hoping she would loosen her grip, after a while i had to call my kids to come over and help unwrap her, that’s when i decided to get rid of her, ive always told my kids that if they were ever came home one night and saw her (or any of the other ones) wrapped around my neck and me unconscious, to remove them without hurting them, i didn’t want that to one day be the case lol...

  • Removing the animal often causes more damage then the bite. You have two rows of needle sharp teeth. They point back for a reason. So food doesn't escape. Or your hand. Control the animal. When dealing with a large constrictor one strong person should always be present. Otherwise his home should be safely locked as with hots. Slip a credit card in his mouth at the top and bottom and he will let go.
