Fer De Lance, commonly known as Lancehead vipers are in my opinion some of the most dangerous vipers on the planet and in tonights Man vs Reptile we look at a case where a friend of mine was bitten and managed to survive the bite of one of these snakes.

I am trying to get my head around what might make a human being into a shaken up fizzy drink bottle so quickly and then make him hit the deck in two minutes - and why did that sensation start in his lower body when he was bitten on a finger. He is one very lucky man to have got that asper antivenom.

  • Given that his left finger was bitten, perhaps he tended to lie on his right side while in hospital. It looked as tho the red areas were also the “pressure” areas from his weight on the bed. The extra compression, coupled with the toxin, may have caused the tiny blood vessels to burst. I am glad he is okay. Take care!

  • Dingo.. l know Fer-da-lances alot. Thats the wrong Snake to mess with.. But I'm glad that guys son was their to help him, after the guy got bit, by the Fer-da-lance, cuz that bite, would've been alot of swelling, & alot of damage in the area he was bitten in for sure, alot of Tissue Damage.. But his son was their, so he had help, cuz his son helped. That's what you should do. Whenever somebody working with Venomous Snakes, people should not work with them alone, cuz something just may go wrong & then you'll need someone to help you out. That's why you should not be alone working with Venomous Snakes.. But, you know about a, Mussurana, don't cha'? The Snake that would Cannibalize on a Fer-da-lance.

    Mike MikeMike Mike2 kuukautta sitten
    • Hi I have never heard of the Mussurana before your comment so read a little about and boy oh boy was I shocked, it can grow up to over 8ft has 10- 15 teeth and is immune to venom of the snakes it eats even the viper, wow! The only snake it's not immune to is the coral snake. Well thankyou for that, see even as adults we learn something new every day.

But he bleed everywere: the base of the fingernails, his eyes, ears, gums and some parts of his skin. When he spoke he dripped blood off his mouth. He still have his thumb and thankfully he is ok, as i said he didn't had any tissue damage. but the reaction to the venom was very different for what you can find online.
