  • If you could pick one snake to add to our SUPER SNAKES series, which species would u choose???

    Dingo DinkelmanDingo Dinkelman5 kuukautta sitten
    • It would have to be that West African Forest Cobra. I think that one at the snake park in East London had me in the edge of my seat. What a nasty bugger that one was!

    • 1. Inland Taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus) no. 2 deadliest snake venom. Very aggressive. Unlike most snakes, the Inland Taipan feeds almost exclusively on mammals. As a result, its venom has evolved to be particularly lethal to mammals (humans being no exception!). 2. Belcher's sea snake (Hydrophis belcheri) no. 1 deadliest snake venom. Luckily, this snake is very passive and rarely bites unless provoked. That's why I put this snake in no. 2 even though that snakes has no. 1 deadliest poison. The snake’s venom contains high levels of neurotoxins and myotoxins. One drop of its venom is thought to be strong enough to kill 1,800 people. General symptoms of their bite are extreme nausea and vomiting, migraine headache, diarrhea, extreme abdominal pain, dizziness, and convulsions. Other symptoms include paralysis, muscle impairment, extreme bleeding, hysteria, respiratory failure, and renal failure.

      Dap PDap PUukausi sitten
    • @Dap P I wouldn't say that's the case cuz in this videos he necks the snake and shows its fangs. So he's definitely not hurting it. I just think someone who has access to one of the rarest vipers on the planet could do a lot of good if he helped get an anti venom made. I'm not sure if it would affect the breeding or not. Thanks for your input though.

  • Dingo when i first started watching your videos snakes left me cold my back actually felt like cold water was running down my back but i kept watching because of the content of them. You explained about their life their venom why the did strike at people and i realised my loathing/fear of snakes was because i knew nothing about snakes i just saw them as dangerous wild animals just killing people gained from films etc So i kept watching i even watched all of the videos i missed and i started to understand more about their life their struggles with us invading their habitats and i knew my fear had gone the day my heart melted when i saw Marshmallow her colouring her attitude so calm so beautiful what a snake she is my equal favourite snake next to Thor the Mighty Keep up the great work you do Dingo someone has to get the word out about conservation for reptiles its always tigers pandas elephants etc dont get me wrong i care about their conservation too but lets spread it around more fairly

  • Its a shame that such a beautiful snake is almost gone. I thought snakes were survivors capable of adapting to human intrusion, but I guess the small range is probably a big problem. Is there any attempt to try and breed them in captivity and introduce them back into their home range? China is probably the most unfortunate place for an endangered animal to be thanks to the CCP's incompetence and lack of care for animals.

There must be something in that small china region with thick skin that moves slowly that these snakes like to eat? Why not breed the food and release in this region to make more of these in the wild?

  • Dingo: For a guy with your experience and allergies, you say you have to be careful with the Nanking viper, but 5 seconds earlier (10:20) he is less than 4 inches from your unprotected hand. In another recent video with the west forest cobra, he strikes at you and misses by much less than a foot. I enjoy your videos, but you take too many chances.

    Chris WynesChris Wynes5 kuukautta sitten
    • @Chris Wynes Hopefully not my friend.

      KevinKevin5 kuukautta sitten
    • @Kevin With no antivenom, and those fangs 4 inches away, he's playing with fire, no matter how much experience he has. Only a matter of time.

      Chris WynesChris Wynes5 kuukautta sitten
    • I believe his allergies are only to colubrids and elapids, though I could be wrong. The Manshang (pit) Viper is a viper. Still dangerous and all though, but I trust his judgement. I will admit that I'm not convinced that those gloves are any protection against this snake's massive fangs though.
